The impact that OpenAI’s ChatGPT has had on exposing all of us to the capabilities of generative artificial intelligence tools can simply be described as phenomenal. According to Pew Research Center, within six months of its initial public release in November 2022, 58% of Americans were aware of ChatGPT and 14% had tried it. In addition to ChatGPT, we were quickly exposed to a broad range of competing AI applications including Google’s Bard, Meta’s (FaceBook) LLaMA, and Microsoft Bing Chat.
