Federal Funding Freezes Implications to NFPs and Other Entities

On January 27, 2025, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) of the Federal Government of the United States of America ordered a pause on the disbursement of certain Federal grants, transactions, and loan funds, which took effect the following day. Legal challenges and court actions followed. At present, uncertainty exists about the legality, nature and extent of federal funding freezes and the overall matter remains fluid. The Federal Government also has initiated other actions relative to grants including terminations,
