Meet your presenters

Ronald D. DiMattia, CPA/ABV, CMA

Ron DiMattia founded Corporate Value Partners, Inc. to assist clients with a broad range of valuation, corporate finance and litigation matters. He has significant experience with valuations, financial analysis, forecasts/projections, acquisitions/divestitures, shareholder value measurement, and placing credit facilities. Ron is currently a sole-practitioner and previously was a senior staff member for a regional accounting firm and a Senior Manager in a “Big Four” accounting firm’s financial advisory services practice.

Ron has served on the AICPA’s ABV Credential Committee and the Business Valuations Subcommittee; he was also appointed to the National Accreditation Commission of the AICPA. Additionally, he has served as a member of the AICPA’s Governing Council. Ron has been an instructor for the AICPA’s ABV Exam Review course as well as its introductory valuation and financial analysis courses, in addition to the AICPA’s Business Valuation School.

Bethany M. Hearn, CPA/ABV/CFF
MH CPA PLLC, Champaign, IL

Bethany Hearn is a partner with MH CPA PLLC with more than 35 years of valuation experience. She specializes in valuation and litigation services for privately-held companies and attorneys. Bethany performs valuations and litigation services for a variety of purposes including merger and acquisitions, shareholder disputes, marital dissolutions, and gift and estate tax purposes. In addition to valuation services, Bethany provides business succession planning services to business owners and has served as an expert witness for valuations in shareholder disputes and marital dissolutions in Illinois, Michigan and Washington.

Bethany regularly speaks on valuation topics to professional organizations, including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“AICPA”). Bethany is a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a degree in Accountancy. She is a licensed CPA in the state of Illinois and is Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). Bethany has been active with the AICPA for several years teaching through webinars, at the national forensic and valuation conferences and the national business valuation school. Bethany has previously served on the ABV Exam Task Force and is the past chair to both the ABV Credential Committee and the FVS Executive Committee.
